In 2001 Nuno hung out at the Sockman, a store located on St. Mark's Place in New York.  Within this street block he documented the daily lives of New Yorker's.  This was the beginnings of an interest in photography.  Returning to Melbourne he studied photography at RMIT TAFE and began to photograph outside his front door step.

He was included in Art Melbourne 06 and selected as a finalist in the 5th LEICA/CCP Documentary Award.
