NUNO DA COSTA X ECHO NEW YORK

100 Scarves. 100 Creators. 100 years.

To celebrate its centennial, ECHO NEW YORK invited 100 creators from all over the world to design the scarf of their dreams. $100 of each sale donated to a charity chosen by the creator.

Invited to participate in the ECHO100 project, the Nuno Da Costa studio chose to support RIP Medical Debt, an organisation that acquires and forgives medical debt on behalf of individuals and families

The design, built around a simple visual metaphor: 100 hearts representing the 100 years of ECHO’s centennial and the 100 people who would own the scarves, while also symbolising the human connection created through the project.

The initiative ultimately enabled more than $1 million of medical debt to be acquired and forgiven

The design celebrates both individuality and community:

100 hearts representing each year of the centenary and the 100 owners of the scarf, whilst also symbolising the people whose lives were touched by this shared act of generosity and compassion.

More than $1 million of medical debt erased.
