OROTON (A)

from €150.00

Milan 1978, the Gianni Versace house was launched and a fashion empire centered around family, a lust for life, and a real love of women was born. This passion for life and all its pleasures saw Versace draw together the worlds of music, celebrity, and fashion in ways not seen previously, culminating in the iconic "Freedom! "90" fashion moment. A moment that saw Linda, Cindy, Naomi, and Christy cement their, and Versace's, place in popular culture, as they strutted they runway miming to George Michael's song of the same name.

This spirit of innovation permeated throughout the business on every level. It was seen not only in the designs themselves that dripped with a playful sexuality and sensuality but also in the development of cutting-edge textiles like its signature Oroton fabric, a lightweight chainmail that feels like liquid metal.

It is hard to imagine a more apt symbol for the spirit of Versace than the Oroton. Liquid sensuality with a tough edge. The kind of fabric that could only be dreamt up by a designer who truly loved women and relished dressing the female form.
